As an accredited Breplast HDPE TS factory, we enforce strict quality protocols—every batch undergoes rigorous testing to ensure consistent efficacy and safety standards.
| Packing | Breplast HDPE TS is typically packaged in 25 kg polyethylene-lined paper bags, palletized and shrink-wrapped for industrial handling. |
| Container Loading (20′ FCL) | Breplast HDPE TS is palletized in 25 kg bags and loaded into a 20-foot FCL container under dry, secure conditions. |
| Shipping | Breplast HDPE TS is a non-hazardous, solid thermoplastic supplied in 25 kg bags or bulk octabins. Ship by standard truck or container. Keep dry, cool, and out of direct sunlight; avoid puncturing packages. No UN number, transport class, or special placards required. Follow local regulations and supplier documentation. |
| Storage | Store Breplast HDPE TS in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight, heat, sparks, flames, and strong oxidizers. Keep containers sealed, labelled, upright, and protected from moisture, dust, and contamination. Avoid prolonged UV exposure and temperatures above 50 °C. Use original packaging, keep the area clean, store away from incompatible materials, and follow the safety data sheet and local regulations. |
| Shelf Life | Breplast HDPE TS shelf life: about 12 months when stored sealed in original packaging, dry, cool, away from direct sunlight. |
Breplast HDPE TS is processed in rigid industrial logistics injection molding where the controlling processing envelope is set by a melt temperature range of 210°C to 250°C and a mould surface temperature of 20°C to 40°C. On twin-platen injection machines with clamp force between 8,000 kN and 25,000 kN, vented pallets and collapsible crates require injection pressure of 80–140 MPa and holding pressure of 50–70 MPa to limit sink marks at rib root vertices below 0.1 mm. The most frequent production-scale failure mode is cold slug formation in the hot runner when nozzle tip temperature drops below 210°C; resulting short shots concentrate in the outer corner bosses. Batch-to-batch MFR drift, measured under ISO 1133-1:2022 at 190°C/2.16 kg, alters fill time by 8–15% and shifts the gate freeze-off window by 2–4 s; screw cushion is therefore held at 3–5 mm and melt residence time is capped at 8 min to avoid chain scission-induced ESCR deterioration.
Formulation loadings for this sector use 80–100 wt% Breplast HDPE TS as the virgin continuum, with post-industrial regrind capped at 20 wt% and introduced only through a gravimetric blender with dosing accuracy of ±0.5 wt%. Colour masterbatch is metered at 1.0–2.5 wt%, nucleating agent at 0.05–0.15 wt%, and slip/antiblock package at 0.05–0.20 wt%. Regrind addition above 20 wt% is discouraged because tensile yield strength under ASTM D638-14 can shift by more than 6% and impact behaviour can transition from ductile to brittle failure at -20°C. Food-contact crates fall under FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 for olefin polymers and EU 10/2011 overall migration limit of 10 mg/dm²; pallets are validated under ISO 8611-1:2021 and ISO 8611-2:2021 for bending and corner impact. Published data for the exact Breplast HDPE TS regrind blend on a production-scale twin-platen line is limited; the above limits are therefore drawn from ISO 17855-1:2021 designation classes and ASTM D4976-12a(2020)e1 specification ranges for high-density polyethylene moulding grades.

Downstream injection molding is conducted on screws with L/D ratio 20:1 to 24:1, compression ratio 2.5:1, and a reverse-flight check ring to maintain the 3–5 mm cushion. Mould shrinkage is measured under ISO 294-4:2018; typical parallel shrinkage is 1.5–2.0% and transverse shrinkage is 1.0–1.5%. Warpage is controlled below 0.8 mm per 300 mm span by maintaining a fixed-to-moving mould temperature difference of ≤5°C. For 4.5–6.0 mm nominal wall, cooling time is 25–45 s; demoulding before 25 s leaves sufficient residual heat to generate post-mould shrinkage of 0.3–0.5% within 24 h. If storage RH exceeds 60%, hopper drying at 70–80°C for 1–2 h reduces surface moisture splay. Terminal finished product types include injection-molded vented pallets in 1200 mm × 1000 mm footprints, stack/nest distribution crates, agricultural harvest bins, and interlocking dunnage platforms with moulded-in drainage channels.
Automotive diesel exhaust fluid tank blow molding imposes low-temperature drop impact requirements far above those accepted in non-automotive HDPE containers. Breplast HDPE TS can be used only if the accumulator head temperature is controlled within 210–230°C and the parison is formed with a wall-thickness programmer that maintains the lower pinch zone at 3× the nominal sidewall thickness. Compliance for DEF tanks follows ISO 22241-1:2019 and ISO 22241-3:2019, with material compatibility evaluated through the standard’s storage and handling clauses; additional OEM specifications commonly require drop testing at -40°C after conditioning and no visible leakage from the pinch weld or insert bosses. The formulation for monolayer tanks uses 96–100 wt% Breplast HDPE TS with carbon black masterbatch at 2.0–2.5 wt% only where UV stabilization is required, and antioxidant package at 0.05–0.15 wt%. Regrind is introduced in the middle layer of multilayer constructions at up to 20 wt%; it is not added to the inner DEF-contact layer to avoid contaminant migration.
On shuttle blow molders with L/D 24:1–30:1 and accumulator shot capacity up to 10 kg, the melt is extruded at 200–220°C; parison swell of 30–50% requires die gap compensation of 0.8–1.2 mm above the target wall thickness. Blow pressure is set at 0.6–1.0 MPa and mould temperature is held at 15–25°C; blow pressure below 0.6 MPa leaves the pinch weld porous, while pressures above 1.0 MPa over-stretch the lower radius and cause local thinning below 1.5 mm. The main production bottleneck is residence time in the accumulator; intervals beyond 8 min produce gel particles on the inner tank surface and reduce notched impact resistance. Terminal finished product types include DEF tanks from 10 L to 60 L, selective catalytic reduction system reservoirs, and urea dosing reservoir assemblies for heavy-duty trucks and off-road machinery.
In closure compression molding, Breplast HDPE TS is metered into rotary turret machines with 15–40 kN cavity compression force and mould temperature 5–15°C. The formulation uses 100 phr Breplast HDPE TS, erucamide slip additive at 0.05–0.10 wt%, and colour concentrate at 0.5–1.0 wt%; pharmaceutical closure compounds exclude regrind, while beverage closure reclaim may be re-introduced up to 10 wt% if the incoming flake is lot-coded and decontaminated. Compliance is anchored to FDA 21 CFR 177.1520, EU 10/2011, and USP <661.1> for plastic packaging components where applicable. The plastication barrel is maintained at 200–230°C; the closure is compression-molded and cooled for 4–8 s before demoulding. Removal torque stability is tested after storage at 40°C for 7 days; slip additive above 0.10 wt% blooms to the surface and increases cap-liner delamination risk. Terminal finished product types include 28 mm PCO 1881 beverage closures, 38 mm pharmaceutical screw caps, and child-resistant closure shells for dry oral dosage packaging.
Thermoforming-grade sheet produced from Breplast HDPE TS becomes production-stable only when the chill-roll stack is operated at 80–100°C and the screw cooling plateau in the feed section is maintained below 65°C; otherwise sheet gauge variation exceeds ±0.05 mm and the thermoforming window collapses. The formulation is built on 100 phr Breplast HDPE TS with processing aid at 0.03–0.08 wt%, external lubricant at 0.05–0.10 wt%, and hindered amine light stabilizer at 0.20–0.50 wt% for outdoor dunnage and automotive trunk panels. Compliance for non-food industrial sheet is checked against RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU and the REACH SVHC candidate list; food-contact tray applications require EU 10/2011 overall migration below 10 mg/dm² and FDA 21 CFR 177.1520.
Sheet extrusion is run on single-screw extruders with L/D 30:1–34:1, barrier screw geometry, and a coat-hanger die with 0.5–1.0 mm die gap. The sheet is cooled on a vertical three-roll stack and cut into blanks of 2–6 mm thickness. Thermoforming is performed at a sheet surface temperature of 160–175°C, with plug assist and mould temperature 40–60°C; excursions above 175°C induce sagging and non-uniform wall thinning below 0.8 mm in deep-draw corners. Terminal finished product types include automotive trunk side panels, industrial dunnage trays, battery transport trays, and collapsible sleeve-pack blanks for machined components.
Where subsurface drainage and stormwater retention demand annular corrugated profile pipe with a minimum ring stiffness, Breplast HDPE TS is compounded at 94–98 wt% with carbon black masterbatch at 2.0–2.5 wt% and antioxidant at 0.05–0.15 wt%. The pipe must satisfy EN 13476-2:2018 and ASTM F2306/F2306M-21; ring stiffness is determined under ISO 9969:2016 with SN4 pipe requiring ≥4 kN/m² at 3% deflection. Downstream corrugation is performed on a twin-screw extruder with L/D 33:1, grooved barrel feed zone, and melt temperature held at 200–220°C. The corrugator line speed is set between 0.3 m/min and 2.5 m/min, with vacuum forming of the corrugations and cooling water at 15–25°C. Melt temperature above 220°C causes corrugation wall thinning and loss of inner wall smoothness; below 200°C the melt strength is insufficient to fill the corrugation roots, producing pinholes at 0.2–0.4 mm depth. Terminal finished product types include 100–800 mm annular corrugated drainage pipe, stormwater retention chambers, and perforated agricultural field drain laterals.
Monolayer and trilayer jerrycan blow molding of Breplast HDPE TS is governed by the drop test sequence in ADR 6.1.5.3, the hydraulic pressure test in ADR 6.1.5.4, and the UN marking for plastics jerricans under UN 3H1. The formulation uses 100 phr Breplast HDPE TS with antioxidant at 0.05–0.12 wt% and UV stabilizer at 0.20–0.50 wt%; a trilayer structure may allocate 60–80 wt% total to virgin skins and up to 20 wt% to a closed-loop regrind core. The accumulator blow molder is operated at 200–225°C melt temperature, mould temperature 10–20°C, and blow pressure 0.7–1.0 MPa. Wall-thickness programming must maintain sidewall at 1.5–2.5 mm, top and bottom chimes at 3.0–4.0 mm, and pinch weld thickness at 2× nominal sidewall. Drop testing is performed after conditioning at -18°C for 24 h; insufficient conditioning masks low-temperature brittleness and produces false pass results. Terminal finished product types include 5 L, 10 L, 20 L and 25 L UN-rated jerrycans for dangerous goods, agrochemical containers, and laboratory solvent transport containers.
